This is a reposting of an old toy review from a previous incarnation of Minxy and caged. Hopefully the information is still relevant for you.
The Big Honcho sleeve from California Exotics provides unique sensations in a package that makes it easier to use hands-free. The clear material allows you to see what’s going on. The thick walls distribute pressure rather than allowing it to concentrate in one area. The Big Honcho takes cues from anal and vaginal masturbators. It has a vulva exterior and the tight entry more common among anal masturbators.
The Big Honcho is a conventional semi-realistic masturbator with a few unusual surprises up its (big) sleeve.
Most obvious to almost anyone who takes it out of the box is the size. This is a pretty imposing hunk of clear TPR. It measures 2-3/4″ across the body and increasing to 3-3/4″ at the entrance. The basic construction is cylindrical, flaring to a rounded front that has a vulva moulded into it for decoration. Apart from that the front of the Big Honcho is plain, but the body has ridges down its length to help you hold on to this large toy.
While the outside of the Big Honcho is cylindrical, the interior stimulation channel definitely isn’t. It curves, starting from about a quarter of the way up the toy (if you hold the toy with the “clitoris” up). Since many penises also curve up, this is a good match for many users.
The curved channel isn’t the Big Honcho‘s only trick. Stimulation is enhanced by a combination of small nubs and ribs that are made out of extremely soft TPR material. The entry texture is formed with a number of ribs that run parallel to the channel. About an inch and a quarter in it shifts to a mix of the same ridges combined with nubs along the sides.
During use I noticed something interesting. While the outside look is “pussy”, the feel of the Big Honcho during use is much more “anal”. The tight entry channel (3/8″ relaxed width) continues for about an inch and a quarter, and then the Big Honcho’s channel balloons out to a wider sleeve with an oval cross section, about an inch tall by an inch and a half wide (accurate measurements are difficult because the outside grooves work like a lens). The channel remains wide until the last quarter of its length, when it tapers down again (adding a bit more stimulation to deep thrusts).
After use I found the Big Honcho a bit more difficult to clean then other sleeves, but not excessively so. The closed end prevents running water through it, and the large body and wide front prevent you from turning it inside out. Cleaning can be accomplished by running soapy water inside, rubbing it around, and draining it back out the front followed by a rinse. Toy cleaner could possibly be used, but the fill-rub-empty sequence makes this toy best suited to soap and water cleanings. Since it’s made of phthalates-free TPR material it’s safe to use without a condom, but it cannot be sanitized so you need to be careful about sharing. Since it’s TPR you’ll also want to stay away from oil-based lubes and stick with water or silicone.
The wide entry and textured outside means that you can successfully use the Big Honcho by holding it between pillows, a mattress, or some other device for hands-free thrusting. Compared with a cylindrical sleeve the Big Honcho is much less likely to wiggle around or run away during use. If you do choose to use it in this way you might want to put it in a plastic bag to protect your linens, as the surface can get a little oily.
You might want to be careful with the Big Honcho if you are unusually long or like aggressive, deep thrusting. There is only about a half-inch of TPR material in the wall at the end of the channel, so this is the most likely point of the Big Honcho to break. A half inch isn’t too bad, so unless you are unusually vigorous the Big Honcho should last for quite a while, provided that you take care of it.
