I am a proud owner of 9 beautiful corsets. I have 6 underbust and 1 overbust corsets with spiral steel boning and 2 overbust fashion corsets with plastic boning.
I started with the fashion corsets with plastic boning not realising that there was this whole market of waist training and steel boned corsets. I have always had a liking for corsets and how they accentuate the natural curves of a woman, as I was not blessed with these curves naturally, which I envy those that do.
After more research with the assistance of Professor Google, I discovered the world of waist training. And it intrigued me that I could possibly waist train to get that curve that I have wished for all my life. I read up on a few blogs about waist training and how it was permanent/semi-permanent body modification. Then I thought, okay I want to do this, next hurdle, how the hell do I lace myself in, when either it was too early to wake up Caged or he was already at work. Cue YouTube videos. And after watching them, it looked easy with the bunny ear technique.
Next where to buy from. So I hit up a few of my friends which I knew wore corsets, mind you they are stick skinny and don’t need a corset, and they had made a few purchases from Corset Story, one had purchased twice, first with good feedback and the second time no so good…i.e. corsets got lost in the mail.
They had a special going on 3 for $135. SCORE! I picked my first spiral steel boned corsets, coffee and black underbust, red underbust and a purple overbust. I was a little unsure about the overbust corset, as I am somewhat well endowed.
They arrived about 5 days later. I was so excited. I had read that you needed to break into or season your corsets so I did that. Each day wearing them for an extra hour or two more and alternating between the two underbust ones. After six weeks of wearing my these corsets daily, just during my waking hours, I had clinched down to the smallest I could go with these corsets and I put an order in for another 4 corsets, 3 sizes smaller.
They arrived last week. I am still breaking them in, but I know that they are a little too small at the moment, but I am hoping to get more use out of them than 6 weeks.
I love wearing them daily as it feels like I am being hugged all day, and being a shift worker where I miss out on a lot of hugs from Caged, its a nice feeling. I also love the shapely curve that it gives me, whether I wear my corset under or on top of my clothes, though I do like to show off my corsets.
I will post some photos over the weekend, keep an eye for them.
